Västkransen’s sixth release features Ella Guru, a new project from southern Stockholm by guitarist Tommy Galento (OK Star Orchestra, Galento Sound Service) and rhythm maker Daniel Strand (Bike Thieves).

The two first met in the darker months of 2021 at a jam among friends. Before long, the duo continued the sessions on their own. The playful grooves of balearic guitars, lazy strings, caustic bass lines and rich percussions that came to life in Galento’s studio are now available on their debut EP “No Strings Attached”.

On top of the three original tracks, the record also features a remix from Basel’s Alma Negra, who transforms “No Strings Attached” into a tightly kept late-night funk groove.

The record is out on 12" vinyl and digitally on March 31, 2023.
